Syllabus / Curriculum
The institution runs two school one catering purely for Pre-Nursery and Nursery under Small Wonders and the main school Eshwar Vidayala has class from Nursery to 10th std.
The Pre-Nursery and Nursery section in both Small Wonders and Eshwar Vidyalaya is the stepping stone for every child and it is here that he / she enters into a whole new world. The school has the best facility, experienced staff and proprietary curriculum which have incorporated a mix of conventional, non conventional and Montessori teaching methods which gives an edge to the children to gain confidence and create interest towards learning. Also the children are provided opportunity for experimental learning or concept development skills.
The pre-school caters for children aged below 4 yrs and Nursery section caters for children for the age group between 4 yrs to 6 yrs
Children in the pre-school learn through informal way which is unstructured and social and mainly through experience
Formal education is introduced in the Nursery but the focus is on the making the children to explore. The Nursery also follows informal teaching with a mix of different teaching mechanism along with different teaching aids. It concentrates on the social and self developmental activities. In addition to developing language, problem solving and analytical skills, science, mathematics, art, music and physical education are included as part of the regular curriculum.
In addition, structured activities that are related to academic skills or concept development are designed and implemented by the teachers.
The Primary / Middle school caters from 1st to 7th grade and Secondary is from 8th to 10th. The school follows the Karnataka state syllabus. The curriculum is student centered and made of four components.- Academics - Arts - Music - Sports Arts, Music,
sports and technology are not an extra or co-curricular activity in our school. They are an integral part of the curriculum. Students are exposed to these activities along with the regular academics.
There is lot of research and thought put into the academics for the primary / middle and secondary schooling which is drawn from the best practices followed in many national and international curriculum. The curriculum is designed to give different outcomes at all levels as students progresses from preschool to high school. The curriculum focuses on cognitive and motor skills in the preschool, concepts in the primary, practical approach in middle school and in high school the focus is on preparing the students for college. The teaching methodology considers the student's academic, social, physical, emotional and cultural needs while delivery integrated curriculum.
Learning at our school is by students curiosity to know things gain knowledge through reasoning. Classes are supplemented by digital contents, active learning experiences. Students are involved in simulations, role plays, unconventional writing and reading exercises, exploration of scenarios and self-paced and team based learning like field visit / work, case studies along with research based project execution. Students use their analytic skills and experiment different learning mechanism.
